Private Health Fund Rebates
Generous private health fund rebates are available from most major health funds, depending on your level of extras cover. HICAPS is available at both Fountain Health and Sydney Essential Health so if you are eligible for the rebate you can process your health fund claim on the spot.
Medicare rebates
Julie is a registered provider for Medicare. A Medicare rebate is available for patients referred by a GP under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program (ask your GP whether you qualify!). The Medicare rebate will be bulk billed and all you have to pay is the gap.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs
Julie is also a registered provider for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). If you have a DVA Gold Card the cost of your consultation is completely covered by DVA with no cost to you, however you must have referral from your GP. Rebates for online nutrition services
Please note that Medicare, DVA and private health fund rebates are currently only available for face to face nutrition consultations in the clinic. However, this may change as the health and medical industry is now adopting telehealth and online services as a valid means of delivering healthcare in the community, and this is slowly being recognised by Medicare and some private health funds.
Cancellations and missed appointments
If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please contact the clinic at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time to avoid paying the full fee. Giving adequate notice allows us to offer the appointment to other patients on the waiting list.
It is important that you arrive to your consultation on time. If you arrive late to an appointment, but within your appointed time slot, you may receive a shorter consultation in an effort not to inconvenience other client who are waiting. If you arrive late, or miss an entire appointment without calling to re-schedule or cancel, you will be charged the full consultation fee.
