Is your nutrition expert an Accredited Practising Dietitian?

Only Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are nationallly recognised by the Australian Government, Medicare, the Department of Veterans Affairs and most private health funds for nutrition and dietetics services in Australia. APDs have the university qualifications and skills to provide expert nutrition and dietary advice to both groups and individuals. If your 'nutrition expert' is not an APD, then they are not properly qualified to provide you with individual dietary counselling, medical nutrition therapy and group dietary therapy!
